Project Prep

I’m getting antsy to make a bag. It happens every few months, this antsy-ness. I have a pretty regular process I go through when I’m planning a craft project. This is especially true when it includes upcycling.

Ecocrafting can be as spontaneous as any other type of craft, but when I’m trying to not have to buy any new element for a project, sometimes the planning takes a little longer.

Carry It Again™ Bags are like that. I start by saving “cool looking” plastic packaging – instead of taking it to the recycling center. In my head, the process seems so orderly and not the least bit chaotic. It probably isn’t either of those things! I have a paper shopping bag in my pantry where I stuff the clean plastic that I am saving. In actuality, it is probably the most tidy of any of my crafting supply locations!

Just for grins and giggles, I snapped a photo of the bag – just because you truly did want to see a bag of plastic, right?

Do you plan out your craft projects? Or do you get the urge and dive right in?

    • Ahh, the comparisons… The green is a bag that once held organic limes. It is such a fun color and texture that I can’t wait to give it a prominent position in my next Carry It Again™ bag!
